Need any help/ guidance on using my apps ?

I have created a set of YouTube videos to help you to get started using my “Virtual Journeys” apps.

I still need to review and update the YouTube videos detailed below to reflect the V3 changes, although the basic way that the apps work remains the same.

The “Getting Started” video for “Virtual Journeys for Fitbit” can be viewed below:

The equivalent for “Virtual Journeys for Strava” is:

The full series of videos can be viewed via the following links:

2 – Adding Your First Route
3 – Calculating Your Route
4 – Tracking Your Activity
5 – Amending Your Route
6 – Defining Multiple WayPoints
7 – Adding Additional Routes

Although the videos are written for “Virtual Journeys for Fitbit”, they are equally applicable to “Virtual Journeys for Strava” and even “Virtual Run, Bike & Hike” since these all share the same codebase. You just need to substitute Strava for Fitbit whenever you see it

Virtual Journeys for Strava

Virtual Journeys for Strava

Travel the world with Virtual Journeys for Strava without even having to leave your home town!

Ever wanted to run to Sydney? How about cycle to New York? Maybe hike to Paris? Virtual Journeys for Strava is designed to interact with Strava® data to allow you to use your  activities, logged within Strava, to track progress against a virtual journey to your goal destination.

Select your starting position, your start date and your destination along with endless WayPoints to visit en route,  synchronises with your activities on Strava and then go to the Progress tab and a route will be calculated and displayed for you detailing your progress,

Virtual Journeys for Strava is designed for both iPhones and IPads and is available to download now from the Apple App Store,

Strava is a registered trademark of Strava, Inc. Virtual Journeys for Strava  is designed for use with Strava. This product is not put out by Strava, and Strava does not service or warrant the functionality of this product.

Latest Changes

V3.1.1 is now on the App Store for both Virtual Journeys for Strava and Virtual Run, Bike & Hike.

All 3 apps were rewritten  optimised and simplified, as part of the V3 release to use the latest IOS SwiftUI interface. Some functionality such as the ability to import and export routes is now currently available in the current release but this will be reintroduced in the very near future. I also still need to review and update the YouTube videos detailed below to reflect the V3 changes, although the basic way that the apps work remains the same.

V3.1.1 added a milestone button on the Progress tab which allows you to view your progress against each WayPoint.

There is no longer any differences between Virtual Run, Bike & Hike (Lite) and Virtual Run, Bike & Hike (Full Version). I am simply maintaining both to support both user bases.

V3.1.1 for Virtual Journeys for Fitbit is currently being updated and will be on the App Store shortly.

Do you have any ideas for any future features that you might want to see (it might even make this release) ? Please use the contact form below to make your suggestions or leave a comment below this post:
